Bio - Cameron Brett
Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Cameron Brett is an in demand drummer who has plays rock, blues, and even drum corp music throughout the West Coast and beyond! He enjoys pounding beats for rock cover and original bands at clubs, charity, festivals, and corporate events whenever possible.
Playing drums and percussion for the better part of 40 years, Cameron is rooted in classic rock, influenced by Mitch Mitchell (of the Jimi Hendrix Experience), John Bonham and Keith Moon, as well as many of the legendary 80's rock bands. Cameron continues to extend his chops studying jazz and fusion drummers, such as Steve Smith and Dave Weckl. Early in his career Cam studied under the big band-era drummer, Sonny Igoe (father of mainstream drummer, Tommy Igoe), mastering the importance and intricacies of rudiments, groove and attention to percussion detail.
Cameron plays: DW drums and hardware, with a Tama Black Panther snare, a wide variety of Paiste cymbals and Vic Firth sticks.
