Bio - Andy Hewett
Andy Hewett is a bass player based in San Francisco California. A proven multi-instrumentalist he has recorded and played guitar, mandolin, harmonica and keyboards in multiple venues and various music situations. Andy has performed across the U.S., the Caribbean, even Africa.
After cutting his teeth playing bass in the blues bars of Chicago, Andy picked up and moved to California to tackle rock music. Upon arrival he started working for San Francisco Bay Area favorites Journey, Gamma, and Montrose before joining the modern rock band Evolution Eden.
EE's first CD garnered international success with regular plays in more than 26 different countries and a top ten and a top twenty single on the Australian World Indie chart resulting in a music contract with BluePie records.
Additional recording projects had Andy and Evolution Eden working with A-list producer Beau Hill (Winger, Warrant, Ratt) as well as legendary producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones) shortly before Johns' untimely passing.
Playing bass for Evolution Eden, Andy has shared the bill with the who's who of "Vintage Rock" bands - Namely: Mr. Big, Blue Oyster Cult, Dokken, Y&T, Kix, Firehouse, Cinderella, The Baby's, John Waite, Lynch Mob, Jack Russell's Great White, Carl Palmer (ELP), Winger, Warrant, Ratt...to name just a few...
